Brookhouse Mill in Denbigh was once again the venue for the Choir Annual Dinner on Friday 9th January 2015
Time to relax at Choir Annual Dinner
So much has happened for the choir since our previous choir Annual Dinner.
The launch of the new website, learning to tweet on twitter. Not to mention all the performances we have undertaken.
The Choir Annual Dinner is an important occasion for members, spouses, partners and friends. A chance to relax and enjoy each others company without the pressure of performing.
Before the meal we serenaded and toasted our wives, partners and guests with a rendering of ‘Iechyd Da‘ or ‘Good health.’
Brookhouse Mill Excel at Choir Annual Dinner
Chef came up with an excellent menu for the occasion. A superb meal complemented by very polite, efficient and attentive service.
It was easy to see why Brookhouse Mill has enjoyed such an enviable reputation for many years.
But it’s not just the meal – balloons and Christmas Crackers are supplied to get you into the party spirit. Some enjoyed the balloons more than others.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to John, Karen, Nigel and all of their staff who contributed to making the choir annual dinner such a great success. We really appreciated all of your efforts.
‘Calon’ entertain at choir annual dinner
After the meal we were entertained by a very versatile, bilingual duo of Kay & Stephen. Calling themselves ‘Calon,’ who hail from Coedpeth, near Wrexham.
They performed a good mix of songs, ensuring that there was something to suit everybody’s taste.
Thanks both, for making our night very enjoyable. We appreciated your performance very much.
Choir says thank you to our unsung heroes
Before Calon performed, thanks to choir members who volunteer to carry out tasks on a regular basis.
Huw Jones and Mike Baines who make the tea at our practice nights (and do the washing up after). Gronwy Wynne for always arranging our weekends away, amongst many other things.
Paul Denney for organising the raffle at our practices and our choir annual dinner, where he was ably assisted by Mike Baines.
And last, but certainly not least, Dafydd & Wendy Lloyd Jones for arranging our Choir Annual Dinner every year.
Thanks to you all for your valiant efforts, without which we would be so much the poorer.
